Meet our Attorney
Jennifer Dean is a dedicated family law attorney whose passion for advocating for children and families is rooted in her own childhood experience navigating the family court system. That early exposure shaped her commitment to protecting children and ensuring that families navigate the legal process with clarity, dignity, and compassionate support.
Client-Centered Advocacy Guided by Integrity and Empathy
Jennifer’s practice is grounded in core values that guide every client relationship: integrity, empathy, and client-centered advocacy. She believes that honesty and trust form the foundation of effective representation—even when giving advice that may be difficult to hear. Clients appreciate her ability to listen deeply, communicate clearly, and approach every case with both compassion and strength.
Early Courtroom Experience and Recognized Advocacy Excellence
During law school, Jennifer made a meaningful impact through the Civil Legal Services Clinic, where she co-chaired and won the Clinic’s first-ever jury trial, successfully defending a father against the termination of his parental rights. She was honored with both the Clinical Legal Education Association Outstanding Clinic Student Award and the Civil Legal Services Clinic Outstanding Student Award in recognition of her advocacy and excellence. Since graduating in 2021, she has continued to build a practice defined by skill, dedication, and a commitment to service, including becoming licensed in multiple states.
Comprehensive Family Law Representation
Although she handles a wide range of family law matters—divorce, child custody, adoption, child support, contempt actions, and cases involving LGBTQIA+ families—
A Passion for Adoption and Positive Family Outcomes
some of Jennifer’s most cherished work involves adoptions. Being part of one of the happiest and most transformative moments in a family’s life brings her great joy, and she takes pride in managing the legal complexities so her clients can focus on celebration.
Support for Low-Conflict Resolution and Alternative Approaches
Jennifer strongly supports the use of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and regularly encourages clients to consider approaches that minimize conflict, even though she does not personally serve as an ADR provider.
Beyond the Office
Outside the office, Jennifer brings the same warmth and enthusiasm to her personal life. She loves hiking and paddleboarding, enjoys baking as an amateur baker, and is the proud pet parent of a puppy named Kuahiwi (“Kiwi”) and a cat named Kirby. She also has a fondness for all things spooky—a fun fact that often surprises people but reflects her creative and spirited personality.
