Heather embarked on her legal career with a focus on Family Law during her tenure at K Scott Hamerslough, P.C., Boulder, Colorado, where she diligently navigated through complex cases involving dissolution of marriage, post-decree, and parental responsibilities, among others. Her role extended to active preparation and participation in various court proceedings, mediations, and hearings, ensuring meticulous representation for her clients.

Her proficiency is further demonstrated in Trust and Estate Planning, where she played a pivotal role in administration, litigation, and numerous aspects of Elder Law and Estate Planning. Heather’s expertise also envelops Labor and Employment Law, Intellectual Property, Landlord/Tenant Law, Civil Rights and Disability Law, and a notable stint in International Tax Law, exemplified by her robust action against the Canadian Revenue Agency, navigating through a complex international tax dispute governed by the US/Canadian Tax Treaty.
