Criminal Defense & Prosecution Background
Before transitioning to family law, Evan built significant courtroom experience as a prosecutor. As a Deputy District Attorney, he managed and successfully prosecuted complex felony-level cases in district court, gaining valuable experience in high-stakes litigation, evidentiary analysis, trial preparation, witness examination, and courtroom advocacy.
Although Evan now focuses on family law, his criminal litigation background remains a valuable asset in complex cases involving conflicting accounts, credibility issues, complicated evidence, protective orders, and domestic violence allegations. His experience allows him to approach each matter with a strategic, disciplined, and litigation-focused perspective.
Evan ultimately transitioned into civil domestic litigation, where he applies his courtroom experience and legal skills to helping individuals and families navigate challenging legal matters with the Divorce Matters family law team.
