Licensed Legal Paraprofessional

Brittany Joerger

Brittany Joerger is a Licensed Legal Paraprofessional at Divorce Matters who helps clients navigate divorce, child custody, child support, and post-decree matters with compassion, clarity, and practical guidance. She understands that family law is about much more than legal issues—it’s about helping people move through some of life’s most difficult transitions while protecting what matters most to them.

Known for her approachable communication style and thoughtful guidance, Brittany believes every client deserves to feel heard, respected, and informed throughout their case. She takes the time to explain the legal process in a way that’s easy to understand, empowering clients to make confident decisions based on their goals rather than their emotions. Whether she’s helping resolve a matter through negotiation or advocating for a client through litigation, Brittany remains focused on achieving practical solutions that serve each family’s long-term interests.

After several years working in family law, Brittany took time away from the legal profession to work as a teacher before returning to legal practice with a renewed passion for helping individuals and families. Her experience in the classroom strengthened her passion for educating, mentoring, and helping others succeed. Those skills continue to shape her approach today, allowing her to break down complex legal concepts into clear, understandable guidance. She believes that informed clients are empowered clients, and she strives to reduce uncertainty by providing honest communication, thoughtful advice, and steady support throughout the legal process.

Brittany is proud to be part of Colorado’s growing Licensed Legal Paraprofessional profession and is committed to expanding access to quality legal services for families across the state. She is an active member of the Colorado Bar Association’s Licensed Legal Paraprofessional Committee and the El Paso County Bar Association’s Licensed Legal Paraprofessional Section, where she contributes to the continued development of the LLP profession. She also enjoys mentoring legal professionals, improving client service, and finding ways to make the legal process more efficient and accessible.

Outside the office, Brittany enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter and singing in her church choir. She values family, service, and lifelong learning, and brings those same principles into every client relationship. Her goal is to help each client feel supported, prepared, and confident as they move forward into the next chapter of their lives.
